Interoffice collaborated with the Musashino Art University Museum & Library in planning and supporting the exhibition “Everyone’s Chair: Musabi Design VII.”

The museum has been collecting modern chairs as one of the pillars of its collection, boasting a collection of over 400 chairs, which is among the largest in Japan. In this exhibition, approximately 250 carefully selected modern chairs from the collection are displayed across all floors of the museum’s first and second levels. The exhibition aims to present the entirety of the collection while providing an overview of the history of modern chair design. Each individual chair showcased in the venue carries its own characteristics, influenced by factors such as materials, techniques, era, region, and underlying philosophies. By comparing and experiencing these chairs firsthand, visitors have the opportunity to appreciate the unique features of each chair and witness the evolution of chair design over time.

The exhibition’s dedicated website features explanatory videos about the chairs presented by Naoki Terada, CEO of Interoffice. Please take a moment to visit and watch the videos.
